BXT Team (Project Morph) - User Researcher 🚀

The BXT(Brand Experience with Technology) team at Samyang Foods is on a mission to pioneer new business ventures, leveraging the rapid growth of K-Food and Buldak. *Position Overview:

This position will contribute to enabling the team to make customer-centric decisions and achievve business goals. Based on a deep understanding of the business and products, you will take the initiative in defining key questions to understand customers, designing and conducting the most suitable research. Insights derived from research will be shared with the team ot collaboratively define problems and identify solutions.



🚩 [Job Description]

  • Proactively monitor U.S. market data and target customer insights to identify current business and product challenges
  • Prioritize and propose research tasks aligned with business objectives
  • Define research questions to better understand the target customer, determine appropriate methodologies, and design research
  • Conduct user research using various methodologies (e.g. usability testing, in-depth interviews, diary studies, surveys)
  • Analyze research results to identify core issues from the perspective of the target customer


🙌 [Requirements]

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in user research
  • Prior experience conducting user research for new business or products
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to actual business or product devisions through user research deliverables, beyond simple reporting or sharing
  • Skilled in interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data to identify problematic phenomena and formulate hypothese
  • Extensive experience living in the U.S., with a deep understanding of American culture, and fluent English communication skills

*Portfolio is required; preferably in PDF format and please submit a portfolio that includes a project addressing the following questions. Submitting just one research project is sufficient and ensure the portfolio breifly vocers the content for each question.

1) How did you identify and define the customer's problem? Why was this issue important at the time?

2) What research methods did you use, and what decisions did you make during the research process?

3) What were the research findings, and how did the insights contribute to actual business or product decisions?

4) How did you collaborate with the business or product teams to ensure the deliverables impacted the business or product?

5) What did you learn from the project?

  • Proven track record of driving siginificant results in industries such as startups, e-commerce, content, or entertainment
  • Experience identifying problems through qualitative and quantitative data and contributing to strategic business decisions that pivot the direction of the company
  • Strong personal intersts, with distinct preferences in any area, including favorite brands or hobbies
  • A self-identified foodie who enjoys exploring new food and engaging with food content
  • Experience in product-related planning and decision-making, such as working as a Product Owner (PO) or Product Manager (PM)
